We had such a wonderful time on our annual Yosemite trip earlier this month! My family has been going to Yosemite for years and we are keeping that tradition going with our little ones. It’s not really a “vacation” for us (meaning it’s a lot of work tent camping with two kids under two!) but I know we will enjoy looking back on these memories for a long time. The kids did pretty well sleeping in a tent, all things considered! Our pace was so much slower than previous years; it took us the good portion of each day just to get everyone changed and dressed, make breakfast, clean up camp, pack backpacks and get out of the campground. We did a few short walks and bike rides, enjoyed doing the touristy thing at the visitor center and Ansel Adams gallery and even did a tram tour for the first time. So thankful that my sister was able to come with us so we could at least outnumber the children! The weather was perfect – warm enough during the day for a quick dip in the Merced, but cool enough in the evenings to feel a little like fall. Until next year, Yosemite!
