Ashley & Scott : Maternity Session on Film

It was such a joy to photograph Ashley and Scott with their baby boy on the way. So often people show up to their sessions and say that they don’t photograph well (including these two, if you can believe it or not!). A lot of times it’s the dads or husbands, because they are not used to being in front of the camera as often. I love being able to put people at ease and give them opportunities to engage in real ways, in quiet moments, in joyful smiles. I love documenting people as the best version of themselves. I am confident in my subtle and relaxed posing, and I think it shines through in this session. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t photograph well or a photographer has made you feel awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera in the past, book a session with me and we’ll do things differently. :)

I cannot wait for the arrival of Ashley and Scott’s baby boy Landon in just a few weeks – it will be a joy to photograph him in his first few days of life!
