My darling baby boy is 9 months old… 3/4 of a year! I know I say this every single time I write a blog post about him, but seriously he is more and more fun every month. Let’s see… he is now crawling at lightning speed and can go up and down all of the stairs in our house! We have not done any babyproofing yet and he is determined to find out what is hiding behind every cupboard door in the house. He is getting so strong and is pretty close to standing up by himself. The kid is doing some serious eating and growing right now – he eats at least four meals a day and is still nursing about five times per day! I can’t believe how much he can pack away in that little stomach. On a daily basis he’ll eat raw greek yogurt, banana, kefir, raw cheese, seasonal fruit like peaches and pears, avocado, raw cottage cheese, liverwurst, chicken sausage, peas and carrots – holy moly! The guy loves his food. :)
He’s been discovering music and dance lately too – when I put music on at home he’ll start swaying and smiling, and even clapped for the first time the other day. He’s got four teeth poking through now, and is weighing in at about 22 lbs and wearing mostly 12 and 18-mo clothes. This Sunday we are heading north to spend a week in Yosemite, then I’ll come home to photograph my dear friend Minet’s wedding, and then Colt and I will fly back up to Nor Cal to meet Deven. From that point we’ll spend four weeks road-tripping through Oregon and Washington and then back down through California. We are so excited! We’ve been tirelessly preparing our truck and little truck camper for the long haul. I’m doing a few shoots along the way, but I’m mostly excited to slow down, get away from my desk and the everyday routine and do some serious exploring with my two favorite guys.
