This was one of my favorite newborn sessions of late… the beautiful warm light and neutral colors are just so cozy on this family of three. The new mommy and daddy are clearly beaming with joy over their baby boy and I’m so thrilled for them!

We had a wonderful time camping in the desert for New Years! It was so fun now that Boone is sitting up and crawling, etc – he got to explore a little too. ;) We had perfectly crisp and cool weather and enjoyed slow days hanging out around camp and evenings by the fire. We borrowed a friend’s little camper for the trip and it was great to have someplace to put the boys down for naps and also to have a toasty warm heater at night. I almost can’t handle Boone and Colt in their matching Carhartt overalls… too fun! I love those boys, even though I may be desperate for sleep by the time we get home from camping. ;) I hope your 2016 is off to a great start!

It was a joy to photograph this stunning momma-to-be. Shantell and her hubby Mason are expecting their first baby boy! Maternity sessions for your firstborn are just so special. Nothing will ever be the same again – you are about to know a kind of love you didn’t know possible!

Boone turned seven months old on December 29th, just a few days before the end of the year! We had a great time camping for New Years in the desert and I can’t wait to get back the few rolls of film I shot out there. Our little guy is crawling up a storm, has climbed up one stair, has pulled himself up to standing on the baby swing and has only fallen down a handful of stairs so far! ;) He is trying so hard to keep up with his big brother! I think he’s going to do a lot of things earlier than Colt did. He is liking solid foods a little more and is still just such a content little guy. He is so much smaller than Colt was at this age – just as tall but he is a skinny little dude compared to his brother’s rolls and rolls! No teeth yet but I have a feeling there are a few on their way. Happy seven months, Boone!
This sweet family has a special place in my heart! I had the honor of photographing Paige & Tim’s wedding several years ago and they just welcomed their first baby boy a few months ago. I was so excited to capture this special time in their lives. Congratulations, Paige and Tim – Oliver is such a handsome little guy!
