A few moments on film from our Tahoe trip last month… looking forward to taking Colt back up to the Sierras more this summer. :)

I had so much fun photographing our dear friends Kayla and Pat in Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago as they prepare to welcome their baby boy Arlo into the world in less than 2 months! I first met Kayla and Pat when I photographed their wedding and engagement pictures, and they have since become some of our closest friends! Kayla was also my stylist last year before the two of them moved up to Reno; she’s got a blog of her own over here. I am just in love with the locations we found for this shoot – the warm, winter light and the beautiful trees and landscape of Tahoe are captured so incredibly on film. Congratulations, Kayla and Pat! We are so excited for you guys to become parents, and for our little boys to be only 5 months apart! Yippee! :)

I snapped a few photos of my dear friend Dana and her babies while hanging out at her home a few weeks ago. Her youngest, sweet Finley Jane, was born just a few weeks after Colt was – so they got to meet for the first time. :) Dana – I love watching you be a mom to your sweet kiddos!

I feel so honored when I get to document the new families of my past wedding clients! Sarah & Bryan were blessed with the miracle of twin boys at the end of January. Micah and Moses are already little heartthrobs – I can’t wait to watch them grow up; they are so loved! Congratulations, Sarah & Bryan!

My not-so-little man turned three months old yesterday. He is nearly 16 lbs now, wearing 6-month pants, 9-month onesies and size 3 diapers. I’m getting quite the arm workout these days! He is more fun each day – smiling, laughing and responding to us more and more. He has quite the sensitive side too – Deven has accidentally scared him to tears a few times! haha. He holds his head up and likes to sit up with just a little help from us.

My sister and I hike or walk with him quite often which has helped me get back to pre-baby weight! Yeah! He loves hanging out in the Ergo, and just within the last week is starting to tolerate his car seat a little better. Just in time for our drive up to Tahoe tomorrow to visit our friends Kayla and Pat.

We love watching him and seeing the little wheels turn in his head… figuring out this great big world one day at a time. I especially love our morning family time together when I nurse Colt in bed and Deven makes coffee and we read Oswald Chambers and oogle over our son together. The best. :)

Colt’s third favorite person is his auntie Heather… so here’s a shout-out to her on her “birthday week.” :) We love you, Heath!
